- Wash all the dal thoroughly 3 to 4 times and soak it for 8 to 10 hours or overnight. Later drain it well.
- Rinse it couple of time in water. Boil the dal on high flame till it get cooked and softened and keep it aside.
- Take a pan or Handi add ghee than add ginger garlic paste stir it continuously sauté it well.
- Add red chili powder and stir well for few minutes.
- Now add boil dal along with stock stir well and simmer the dal and add Garam masala, cook uncovered on low heat.
- Keep stirring often so that the dal don’t stick to the bottom of the pan or Handi.
- Once the dal has begun to thicken add salt as required.
- Add some Kasuri methi, milk, cream and butter (white butter optional) and stir well.
- Serve hot garnish with cream and Kasuri methi on top.
